Rebound Research was established in early 2004, pioneering a range of innovations and introducing competition to the Australian business research market. Some of Rebound Research's government clients include the NSW Attorney General's Department and a number of their independent business units, the NSW Department of Commerce in addition to their Central Corporate Services Unit, the ServiceFirst Unit, Human Services Network, the NSW Department of Water and Energy, the NSW Department of Aboriginal Affairs and the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet. From the private sector, Dux Hot Water and their newly acquired EcoSmart business are key clients, as is the Australian Shareholders' Association.

In 2005, Rebound Research expanded its operations to accommodate a rapidly growing portfolio and a substantial increase in repeat business from existing clients. The latest and most sophisticated analytical software tools are utilised by a dedicated and experienced team of analysts and researchers.

Rebound Research was founded by Andrew Ross after many years of careful, considered preparation. Andrew holds a bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of New South Wales. Andrew commenced his working career by establishing a research unit for Aussie Home Loans, where he focused on customer satisfaction management, whilst also providing intelligence for new product development. Andrew then worked for Australia's largest marketing company, Pinpoint Marketing, developing a range of analytical models, used in servicing clients and acquiring new business. A significant progression in career saw Andrew join a global business intelligence agency, RedSheriff, where he independently managed quantitative research projects for clients such as Ninemsn, Yahoo, Australian Defense Force, Baycorp Advantage, Invest Australia, Suncorp Metway, Tourism NSW & Sydney Water. Seeking a new challenge, Andrew was chosen to head the market research division for KOTRA, an international trade centre, where he designed, implemented and managed research studies on behalf of foreign manufacturers across numerous industries.
